How We Do It
The Lakeshore Consulting Group has developed a proprietary mechanism, S/O/S©, which we use to:
- Teach the client’s management group the principles and practices of team-based business planning
- Guide these managers in the creation of the company’s plan
- Serve as a template for the ongoing execution and mid-course correction of the plan.
The resulting product is a realistic roadmap for progress against concrete objectives, created and committed to by the company’s own "experts." In effect, we transfer our skills to a firm’s management, enabling them to maintain an ongoing, efficient planning process.
Accordingly, we only work with companies who recognize the value of a strong business plan and the requirement that management be involved in its creation.

S/O/S© stands for the three critical steps in the creation of a well-reasoned, concise, comprehensive and understandable plan:
- Analyze the Situation the company is in.
- Define the company’s Objectives.
- Develop the appropriate Strategies and attendant action programs to achieve the objectives.
